Policy updates
Hello Google Play Developer,

We're writing to let you know about a recent update to our Developer Policy Center. We make updates from time to time as part of a continuous effort to make Google Play a positive experience for both developers and consumers.

This email is to inform you of recent changes we’ve made to our policies:

We've clarified our Misleading Claims policy to highlight the prohibition of any disinformation or deception around medical, health-related and government services apps.
We've updated our Metadata policy to ensure developers create better descriptions and titles that accurately represent their app.
We’ve updated our Ad Network Certification policy to provide further clarification on ad SDK requirements.
We’ve updated our Monetization and Ads policy on in-app virtual currencies.
We’ve updated our Spam and Minimum Functionality policies to set higher quality standards for the content included in and functionality of applications on Google Play.
Any new apps or app updates published after this notification will immediately be subject to the latest version of the Developer Program Policies. Developers with apps currently on Google Play will have 30 days from the issuance of this notification to bring their apps into compliance to prevent removal.

We encourage you to review these policy updates carefully in case any of your existing apps are impacted.

Action required

Hello Google Play Developer,
A few months ago we emailed you to let you know about our new Families policy. As part of the new policy, all developers must complete the new target audience and content section of the Google Play Console by September 1st.
We are asking every developer to thoughtfully consider whether children are part of your target audience. For most developers, the target audience does not include children and this section should be relatively quick to complete. If children are part of your target audience, you must meet policy requirements in your app concerning content and handling of personally identifiable information.
You can view more information on the Android developers website and in our blog post, and access training on Google Play's Academy for App Success.

Thank you,
The Google Play team

Action required

Please review all of your apps for 64-bit compliance and submit your updated apps by August 1, 2019. The Android developers guideprovides step-by-step instructions for assessing the use of native code and becoming 64-bit compliant, including identifying native libraries, building with 64-bit libraries, testing and publishing.

Please note that we are not making changes to our policy on 32-bit support. Google Play will continue to deliver apps with 32-bit native code to 32-bit devices. The requirement means that those apps will need to have a 64-bit version as well.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Google Play developer support.
